There is a urban myth that eating late at night, can increase your weight, however new scientific study shows this to be misleading, as ultimately a calorie is still a calorie regardless of the time you eat, planning your daily calorie intake during the day and incorporating this into your evening meal is a major factor, also almost certainly it is probably healthier to sit down and slowly chew your food to increase absorption.
Eating late certainly increases your chances of suffering from heartburn, nausea and bloating. A small light snack before bedtime like banana or a milky drink is the better alternative then spicy food/cheese which can trigger heartburn, the reason as to why you don’t want to eat too late at night is because your food may not get properly digested.
You should always try to make time for breakfast, amazingly it is still considered as the most important meal of the day, this is so due to your body’s metabolism having slowed down during the night and eating breakfast will slowly increase it back to more acceptable levels.
